Why I Care About Money
I am a life-long educator who knows that our most cherished memories cost less than we expect. Think about a walk you have had on a beautiful day with a cherished friend, getting to work and finding that your co-worker picked up an extra cup of coffee for you, or taking your parents or kids for a Sunday drive. My mission is to live well on less, to fully enjoy all of these simple pleasures, and be able to grow old with the confidence that I have what I need to keep living well for years to come.
Managing my money hasn’t always been easy or fun. As a young teacher I was figuring out how to balance my checkbook, pay off my student loans and, hopefully, one day, buy a home. Check out my TEDx talk to learn how I managed to pay off my debt.
Now the only debt I have is my mortgage. Credit cards, two cars, and travel are all paid off and it feels great! There is no better feeling than knowing that I can spend extra money on a dinner out, going to a concert, or planning a vacation and not worry how I’m going to pay this off. Everything I do is fully paid for and stress-free.
When you work with me, you will learn my tips and tricks for managing your budget each month, practice adjusting your budget during these difficult times of COVID-19, and set financial goals for yourself and your family. Because managing money is a learning process for everyone, and we’re all at different levels of confidence, we will manage the sometimes bumpy road of trying new things with humor and compassion. You will dive deeper into your capacity to make money, prioritize the most meaningful moments of your life so you are sure to keep those front and center, and set a savings goal for yourself and your family so that you too will be able to live well on less. We all deserve a life that is rich as we build our most treasured memories. Having the financial confidence to know our money will last a lifetime and then some, lets you settle into the here and now more fully. Connect with me so we can start working toward these goals for you!
