You will create new habits.

For these habits to become part of your routines, you will have homework between our sessions.

The Value of Financial Coaching

Having a financial coach is like having the bumpers up when you are bowling.  You make lots of decisions with your money everyday, and sometimes you just need help focusing on the one or two steps that get you to your goal.  At first we’ll meet once per month.

When the bumpers are up, you can focus on your success, and not get distracted by the gutter balls.  You might still be building confidence, so it helps for us to check-in frequently.  As you improve your skills, you will get better at making decisions about your money every day, week, or month. You will no longer need the bumpers up. You will have systems in place to track your goals.

After three to six months you may be ready to stop working with a financial coach altogether. You can always come back for a check-in if your circumstances change or you are ready to set new goals.  We will work at a pace that fits your schedule and lifestyle. We can work together short-term (every 2-4 weeks for up to 6 months) or stay connected longer if you have bold goals you want to keep on track.  Ultimately, it is not about how much time we spend together, but about how much time you spend checking your progress toward your goals.  When you commit to spending time every week and every month looking at your budget, paying off debt, and securing your savings, you will be excited and inspired by what you can accomplish.  You will be living well on less and you will be in the driver’s seat.
